Grey and White
FLOCK was an "animal rescue facility" on a two-acre plot of land. As reported on Best Friends Animal Sanctuary's website, "A volunteer tipped off county officers to the inhumane conditions inside the two-acre facility in Pahrump. The compound, surrounded by a 12-foot-high fence topped with barbed wire, was inhospitable desert landscape where the temperature often soared to 120 degrees. , Most of the cats were severely malnourished, some near death. They suffered from upper respiratory illnesses as well as ear mites, tapeworm, rotten teeth and gums, open wounds or eye infections. At least 40 died because they were so sick and weak. , ?This is the worst I?ve seen in terms of animal cruelty and neglect,? says Mead, who was on-site at the beginning of the rescue. ?When we got there, your eyes would water from the smell of urine and feces, and there were thousands of flies in every building.? , Romeo is one of the cats rescued from the horrible facility in Pahrump. His rescuers were all from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Paw Placement is doing what we can to help Best Friends in their wonderful, nationwide animal rescue ventures. , Romeo is an angel of a cat. He has a very quiet nature and loves to be brushed. While he does get along with other felines, he will need appropriate introduction to all animals, cat and/or dogs, in the home. He has lived a life of complete neglect, devoid of human interaction. As such, he will flourish in a quiet home setting. Romeo has many angels in his life to thank for his current safe situation. But he needs one final angel -- YOU! to bring him into your heart and give him a forever loving home.
